While the National Hockey League playoffs have just begun, for many local Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) rep teams, the playoffs are concluding over this April 11 to 13 weekend with their version of the Stanley Cup, which is the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) championships.

The OHF championships annually hook up the champs of Ontario's various hockey leagues which include the GTHL, Ontario Minor Hockey Association, Northern Ontario Hockey Association and the Alliance (along with host teams).

Teams will battle it out at five age levels (atom, peewee, bantam, midget and juvenile). All except the juvenile level are further split into A and AA levels, except the atom level, which also has an additional AAA level. (The OHF championships at the AAA level for bantam, peewee and midget have already taken place).

The GTHL is hosting three of the 10 OHF finals, including:

* juvenile (with the Leaside Kings and Humberview Huskies) at Victoria Village Arena;

* bantam AA (with North York Knights and Mississauga North Stars) at Herb Carnegie Centennial Arena;

* and peewee A (with West Hill Goldenhawks from Scarborough and host Applewood Coyotes of Mississauga) at Chic Murray Arena in Mississauga.

GTHL teams are involved in the other seven OHF finals which are hosted by other hockey leagues:

* midget AA at Newmarket (with North York Knights);

* midget A at Stratford (with North York Knights);

* bantam A at Temiskaming (with Vaughan Panthers);

* peewee AA at Timmins (with Humber Valley Sharks of Etobicoke);

* atom AAA at Oakville (with North York Rangers and Toronto Marlies);

* atom AA at Woodstock (with West Mall Lightning);

* atom A at St. Thomas (with Erindale Spitfires of Mississauga.

For schedules of local Toronto games or for results from out-of-town games, click on to the OHF website at www.ohf.on.ca, (highlight OHF championships, then select OHF championships).
