Re: Letter "Gas Prices Can be Regulated", W.D. Adamson, Etobicoke Guardian, Sept. 19.

In order to control the rising price of gas, letter writer W.D. Adamson opines: "Water belongs to all Canadians and so should oil and gas." This is a flawed analogy. Unlike water, oil needs to be explored, located, refined, processed, and distributed. Bringing gas to our tank is both an extensive and exhausting exercise that would prove to be beyond the limited scope of government.
