Two letter writers complain about the new garbage and recycling handling system and blame city hall and councillors.
Instead, let's thank the mayor and councillors who are doing what should have been done by earlier councils. The garbage problem was neglected and overlooked by old councillors.
We, who are careful to conserve are not overcharged; in fact, there's a discount.
The present necessary action to reduce garbage and increase recycling is overdue by decades.
