The Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC) aims to promote Hispanic businesses and entrepreneurs through its annual business awards and is calling for local nominees.
Nominations opened on Oct. 7 and will end Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. Nominations are sought in the following categories:
- Business Man of the Year
- Business Woman of the Year
- Best Start-Up Business
- Most Innovative Business
- Most Progressive Business
- Best International Business
- Best Franchise Person of the Year
- Award of Merit
"The Hispanic community, though the THCC, is now joining with the Italian, Indian and Chinese communities for the development and promotion of business in Canada," said German Castano, chamber president and chair, at the awards announcement at the World Trade Centre in downtown Toronto.
The pre-selection process is under the supervision of the THCC Business Advisory Board and the due diligence will be conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers with the support of Centennial College.
The winners of the Canadian Hispanic Business Awards will be announced March 25 at the World Trade Centre, 1 First Canadian Place. The THCC is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 and represents more than 1,000 Hispanic businesses.
