Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosts trade luncheon June 18

Attendees of a luncheon hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will hear about financing opportunities for Canadian corporations.

This is billed to be of special interest to agribusiness, financial markets, IT, health and education, mining companies and importers. Opening remarks will be by Minister of Small Business and Entrepreneurship Harinder S. Takar, with closing remarks courtesy of Eduardo Klurfan, vice-chair of the Canadian Council for the Americas and vice-president, Global Transaction banking Scotiabank.

World Bank representative Faiza Batta will speak on how the organization has successfully implemented and executed a plan to allow Canadian businesses to do trade in Latin America and how local business people can capitalize on such opportunities.

The luncheon takes place at the Toronto Board of Trade, 1 First Canadian Place, near Bay and King streets, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18.
